What/Why: FLIP’s 6th Annual Darby Creek Trail Run- 5k Run/Walk & 10k Trail Run When: Saturday, July 15th.  Registration begins at 7:45am. FLIP’s 2016 Darby Creek Trail Run

IT IS BACK!! The 2016 Darby Creek Trail Run is taking place this year on Saturday, August 20. Early registration has started for the 5th annual 5k and 10k trail run at the scenic Darby Creek Metro Park. The beauty of this race is that the course is challenging, yet incredibly manageable for runners of all ages and fitness levels. Once again, our race will feature an awards ceremony along with other prizes, games and food afterwards at our post race party! Cancer has become too common a diagnosis striking women, men and children, of any age. Cancer is an equal opportunity disease with no boundaries.   September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and I would like to introduce you to my friend Debby Mitchell, who defied ovarian for 10 years by Fighting, Living, Inspiring and Preventing (FLIP) this cancer from ruling her life!   A little over 10 years ago, Debby Mitchell, healthy late 40’s active individual was told she had ovarian cancer.
