National Eating Healthy Day

 

November 6th is almost here! Why is the 6th of November so significant you ask? It’s National Eating Healthy Day. This is a day started by the American Heart Association that encourages Americans to make some small, beneficial changes in their diet.

What are you going to eat on November 6th? If you’re into cooking and looking for suggestions, we have plenty of recipes like roasted veggie orzo salad and FLIP’s seafood gumbo in our prevent section.

We say this a lot here, but just in case: eating healthy along with increased physical activity can significantly reduce your risk for cancer! The American Heart Association even provides a free toolkit for you to make it easy. So take advantage of a day that celebrates making better choices.
