Year of Yay!

About Yay Bikes!

Yay Bikes! is a grassroots member organization in Columbus, Ohio that creates opportunities for personal and community transformation through innovative campaigns and unconventional partnerships that promote bicycling as an alternative to driving. We offer education and encouragement strategies to support people as they enact change in their everyday travel behaviors. Our programs fall into the following categories:

  • Cyclist Education — Ensuring that all who ride a bicycle know how to do so safely and legally
  • Social Marketing Campaigns— Engaging entire communities in transportation behavior change
  • Community Building— Cultivating a positive, inclusive bike culture in Central Ohio
  • Cultural Mash-ups — Expanding the conversation around bicycle transportation by intersecting it with themes from other areas of life

All tours will begin at Goodale Park and will conclude at Godman Guild for a delicious picnic lunch.

Become a Member

Yay Bikes! is a grassroots organization, and membership revenue provides Yay Bikes! the ability to facilitate a “transportation transformation” in our community. We believe in the power of the individual to take control of their everyday transportation, and we believe in the generosity of our community to support people changing their transportation behaviors (even as we impatiently await better bicycle infrastructure). In return for their support, Yay Bikes! members—particularly those who ride with us—receive free rides and random goodies throughout the year. Join today at http://yaybikes.com/membership.
