Of the evils, disasters and diseases in this world… cancer claims more lives than any; yet its the one we should wake up in the morning and greet with a smile. I smile because I know I am bigger, badder and better than cancer. I am more POWERFUL than cancer. I don’t have to wait for congress to pass (or not pass) a law to protect me; I don’t depend on Dr’s to control my fate; I don’t worry about other people and their influences. There are plenty of other issues worthy of my fears that I don’t have as much control over.
I wake up inspired by those I’ve lost and those that are fighting. I then honor them by smiling at cancer and saying “give me your best shot… I got ya beat”. I have so many ways to beat you. I have some many weapons to beat you with. And the more people that join the fight, the more effective we grow. My weapon of choice this summer…
