The 5k is relatively flat and can be enjoyed by runners and walkers of all skill levels. The 10k is a true challenge ending in a stair climb that has become infamous among the Columbus trail running community.

In keeping with FLIP’s goal to encourage a cancer preventative lifestyle, FLIP encourages every level of fitness to come out and enjoy the scenery. Running strollers are allowed on the 5k course, but not the 10k (since it’s tough terrain).

FLIP recognizes that cancer prevention requires a dynamic shift in our thinking and is empowering individuals to engage in preventing cancer using a holistic approach:

Fight- Fighting together to challenge cancer risks outside of our individual control.
Live- FLIP is all about having fun and living life to its fullest… the best way to prevent cancer!
Inspire- It’s so worth it to challenge yourself to reach friends and family (We’ll help you!)
Prevent- FLIP’s goal is to make prevention fun, approachable, simple and community driven

It’s easy to “FLIP” — We are connecting community partners to provide an entire network of support and building an interactive website that aggregates and simplifies everything you need to know. It’s engaging! FLIP is not only an attractive, energetic brand, it’s a movement; empowering people to shape & make it their own along the way.

It’s fun! Get out and enjoy being active with friends and family. Stay involved throughout the process via social media, organized activities and unique outings.

Course Descriptions and Maps

5k Course Description
The course is straight down and back the Greenway Trail. It’s a flat, wide course that is mostly gravel. Strollers and leashed dogs allowed. The course will be well marked and will have a water stop at the halfway turnaround point. Smile for the camera along the way!

10k Course Description- Please Look at the map beforehand!
(Please note: no dogs  or strollers allowed on 10k course). The course will be well marked with signs, arrows and people.  Hope you like NASCAR, you have lots of left turns in your future! Always take the main path to the left and don’t turn off the main path unless there’s an arrow clearly marking your turn. There’s only one right turn – the final hill climb which will be well marked with a sign. *see attached map. 2 water stops (will pass each twice)
Hope you are ready for a challenge! The 10k is an exhilarating, scenic course featuring a couple gradual hills and finishes with a pretty tough hill climb! You’ll love to hate it! Bring it!
